(Updated) Upon their return to the market, Nokia may release eight (originally six) new smartphones this year.

Released or Confirmed

6 (Released January 2017)

The Nokia 6 is available in China and the Philippines. The device will soon be available worldwide.

The Nokia 3 is a low-end affordable device. It has been revealed at MWC and will be available for purchase during Q2 2017.

Featuring a 3000mAh battery, Snapdragon 430 processor and 2GB of RAM, the Nokia 5 is a mid-range device. It will become available during Q2 2017.

The D1C is thought to be the first smartphone that will be released by Nokia, in 2017. The handset is rumoured to be revealed during MWC in February. It’s expected to be a mid-range device that will come in two variants; one with 2GB, and the other with 3GB of RAM.

Formerly known as the Nokia P and Nokia 8, the 9 is believed to be a market leading smartphone. It’s rumoured to come in two variants, one with a Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4GB of RAM, while the other model features a Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM – all paired with a top-of-the-range 23MP Zeiss camera.

A Nokia ‘Edge’ has recently been leaked. The phone will be one of the first devices to feature bezel-less sides. It has a strange similarity to the Nokia P, in that it has also been rumoured to feature a 23MP Zeiss camera. Whether this is coincidence, or they are in fact the same device, is currently unknown.

Z2 Plus

Not exactly a flagship device, yet the Z2 Plus is expected to be fairly well equipped. With a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM, the phone will be able to challenge devices from the upper tier. Oddly, the Z2 Plus is rumoured to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed, instead of 7.0 Nougat.

The Nokia C1 has been discussed for quite some time now, yet there are still no concrete details. From a budget phone to a higher-tier device, different specification lists have been flying around and no one really knows what the C1 will be. However, if the device is going to be released, it will make sense to do it in 2017.

The latest leaked Nokia handset is the E1. With a design slightly resembling Sony’s Xperia range, the phone allegedly comes with a Snapdragon SoC (600 series), along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB in-built storage.

The Nokia Heart has been recently leaked online. The device is believed to be a downgraded version of the Nokia 6.

7 and 8

Two very similar devices rumoured to come with a, yet unannounced, Snapdragon 660 processor. They are believed to be come with better specifications than the Nokia 3, 5 and 6.
