The G6 comes with a powerful Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. It is powered by a large 3,300mAh battery and comes with 32GB of storage space.
Samsung Galaxy S8 (Released April 2017)
The Galaxy S8 is powered by the new Snapdragon 835 SoC (or Exynos 8895 in some countries). It has 64GB of storage space, paired with 4GB of RAM. Samsung opted to keep the headphone jack in the S8 and have added iris scanning functionality as well.
HTC U11 (Released May 2017)
The HTC U11 has been revealed. It comes with a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 64GB of storage space and unique Edge Sense technology.
OnePlus 5 (Revealed June 2017)
The OnePlus 5 comes with a flagship specification including a Snapdragon 835 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, dual cameras and an iPhone-resembling design. Considering it has a lower price tag than other top devices, it is bound to attract some interest.
Apple iPhone 8 (Expected Release: September 2017)
After a lacklustre iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 is expected to be the best Apple smartphone yet. What makes it even more important, is that 2017 is the iPhone’s tenth anniversary, so Apple really need to up their game this year. Among the new rumoured features is the removal of the physical home button and an edge-less display.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Expected Release: August 2017)
The Note 7 disaster lost Samsung billions of pounds. The company is now trying to recover by releasing the next Note-branded device. Details on the Note 8 are few and far in between, however an iris scanner is expected to make its comeback, as well as a bigger (and less explosive) battery.
Microsoft Surface Phone (Expected Release: 2017)
Now rumoured for years, we are still waiting for the official announcement of Microsoft’s Surface Phone. A killer specification, including 500GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, aims to bring a PC-like experience to a mobile device; however, the reveal date is still unknown.
Nokia 9 (Expected Release: June 2017)
The Nokia 9 is rumoured to come in two variants, one with a Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4GB of RAM, while the other model features a Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM – all paired with a top-of-the-range 23MP Zeiss camera.
